Understanding SimplyVAT fees
Registration and Upfront Fees
When you partner with us, your initial upfront fee typically covers the registration or takeover fee, along with any fiscal representative or agent fees, and any backdated returns. You’ll find all the details outlined in your letter of engagement, specifically under the section titled ‘Upfront fees.’
Monthly Subscription Fees and Timings
Once your registration is complete, we’ll begin issuing invoices for your monthly subscription. Our invoices are charged on the 1st of each month, based on the work we do for the previous reporting period. For example, if you need to file your monthly PL VAT return for March, you’ll see the charge on April 1st. This is because we finalise and submit the necessary work in April.
Your monthly subscription fees will be charged to your payment method through Stripe on the 1st of each month. After the payment is processed, you will automatically receive a receipt and a VAT invoice from Stripe.
Ad-Hoc Charges
Ad-Hoc charges refer to any fees that aren’t included in your contract, specifically under the ‘Upfront fees’ and ‘Recurring Fees’ sections. These charges might arise from any additional liabilities identified during or after the registration process. We’ll always agree on these in writing before applying any charges, and they’ll be billed separately in addition to the fees outlined in your Engagement Letter. If you receive an invoice for an Ad-Hoc fee, please note that your payment method will be charged 14 days after the invoice is issued.
Adding New Registrations
If you're adding a new VAT registration, the upfront fee will be charged as outlined in your Letter of Engagement. Please keep in mind that work won’t begin until the invoice for the upfront fees has been paid. Be sure to use the link provided on the invoice to make this payment by card, regardless of how your monthly invoices are paid, so that work can begin on the registration without delay.
Once your registration is completed, the monthly subscription charge will be included in your current monthly invoice.
Deregistration and Rescission Charges
Deregistration or rescission fees will be agreed upon in advance with our team. An invoice will be issued one month before your deregistration or rescission date. Your monthly subscription will conclude the following month. If your de-registration dates are staggered, the invoice will be based on the earliest de-registration date.
