How many EORI numbers do I need, and where should I apply for them?
You only need one EORI number to import goods into the EU. EU numbers are valid in all Member States and Northern Ireland. If you’re importing into Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland), you’ll need a separate GB EORI number.
If you’re based in the EU, you must apply for your EORI number in country where you’re established. If you’re not based in the EU, you must apply for your EORI number in the country where your goods first enter the EU. For example, you ship your goods into the EU via Rotterdam port, so you get a Dutch EORI number.
If your goods will enter the EU from multiple countries, we can link your EORI number with other EU VAT numbers for an additional charge.
